NSAA East - Killington, VT

Now that Winter X Games Fifteen out west are in the books, it's time to "Go East, young men and women!" to storm Killington like only the snow sports industry can do.

Learning about the newest technological advances both on and off the mountain have become the staple of NSAA shows, highlighting everything from state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment to innovative marketing techniques. Both these are essential components to imploring guests to visit your resort and holding on to them as repeat visitors.

We like to think of Ski Prism as a little of both. With real-time integrated snow reporting directly to SnoCountry, an events calendar that looks stellar and keeps your skiers and riders coming back, email, a content management system and e-newsletter marketing all in one, we have the tools that make you look sick! (in a good way)

Not sure if you've heard of Ski PRISM yet, admittedly we're not as popular as Shaun White, Kelly Clark or Scotty Lago (Go New Hampshire!), but there were many new faces crashing the party at Winter X and we've been training equally as hard to add YOU to our list of clients!

Are you the type that jumps on the bandwagon AFTER the crowd, or do you think of yourself as an innovator that gets out in front of the pack and stays there? Hey, it's a lot clearer out front so don't get caught in the wash, consider what Ski PRISM can do for your website today!

Stop by the NSAA East show in Killington, VT and find out how Ski PRISM can simplify your life. We'll be in booth #6!

Youthfest at Pats Peak

Our good friends at Pats Peak were recently featured in an article in SAM Magazine in recognition of its involvement with Youthfest. Youthfest is an event put together by the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) with the goal of fostering the first African-American U.S. Ski Team Member. The article talks extensively about Pats Peak efforts to bring diversity to its facility and its efforts to introduce inner city kids to snow sports. As part of this effort, Pats Peak has partnered with Youth Enrichment Services (YES) of Boston for the past ten years on its P-O-P (Pay One Price) Saturday night program, which has been wildly successful. Pats Peaks efforts have proven both socially and economically successful.

Youthfest itself was a three-day race event that brought minorities from all over the region. Young skiers were given the opportunity to interact with U.S. Development team member Julia Ford and build their skills. Overall, the event is about developing a life-long love of the sport in minority youths and creating a welcoming environment for all skiers and boarders.
King Pine up and running for the season!

Ski PRISM is excited to announce that King Pine Ski Area has launched an updated web site utilizing our sick web site management software. Visitors to the site will find it easier to navigate with a variety of options to interact and connect with King Pine. Additionally, an enhanced snow report will give skiers and riders a clear picture of the conditions on the mountain before they arrive. With the implementation of Ski PRISM software, King Pine now has complete control over its website via a backend content management system that accessible 24/7/365 from any computer with an internet connection. This gives staff the ability to update everything from page content, to news and events, to ecommerce listings. Their snowreport can now be updated in one easy step and fed directly to SnowCountry and Resorts Interactive alleviating the need for a staff member to spend valuable time logging into to multiple sites to keep conditions current. Additionally, King Pine's e-commerce system has received a boost with the ability to add step pricing, quantity discounts, and black out dates to everything from season passes to lift tickets to gift certificates. Orders can be tracked through the backend and the Form Builder lets them collect all necessary information for things like rentals, lessons, and season passes. What’s more, Access to all areas of the back-end can be restricted to only those staff members with permission to edit specific areas thus reducing the likelihood of improper use. King Pine is excited about the increased control and looks forward to the upcoming season. Check out the site at: www.kingpine.com.
